VSEC Core
Home Page
The Home page serves as a dashboard for the VSEC applications within your current workspace. With VSEC Test currently being the primary application, the Home page primarily focuses on its features and information.
Workspaces
VSEC offers two primary deployment models. It is critical to understand the difference regarding data isolation. The VSEC Platform provides secure environments called Workspaces, which offer varying access to features, devices, and configurations based on your license tier.
Free Tier
The Free tier provides a user the ability to create one (1) Bench, access to three (3) complimentary CAN Test cases, remote Terminal access, remote file explorer, and the ability to create up to 10 custom test cases.
Users on the Free Tier operate within a large, shared “Community Workspace.” Infrastructure and resources are shared among all free tier users.
Basic Plan
In addition to the core features of the Free tier (remote Terminal access and remote file explorer), the Basic plan provides a small team (up to 15 users) the ability to subscribe and create up to one (1) Workspace with up to fifteen (15) Benches, access to Pre-Built Test Case subscriptions, the ability to create unlimited custom test cases, and the ability to access Discovery Scanner.
Basic subscriptions also include free, non-removable access to the UDS and XCP Starter Challenge simulation add-on — it appears in the billing add-ons list marked Included free rather than as an item you can add or remove.
Pro Plan
The Pro plan includes everything in the Basic plan and is designed for larger teams that need to manage multiple workspaces. It supports up to five (5) Workspaces and up to seventy-five (75) Benches across the subscription.
Workspace Settings
Workspace admins have access to additional configuration pages for AI Intelligence and Integrations. Navigate to Account → Workspace in the left-hand admin navigation.
Self-Hosted Deployments
Some organizations (for example, OEM partners) run a self-hosted, single-tenant deployment of VSEC Core inside their own environment instead of subscribing to a Block Harbor-hosted plan. Workspace and subscription management works differently in that deployment mode — contact Block Harbor for details specific to your environment.
Asset Manager
Asset Manager is the central hub for defining and understanding your product’s asset hierarchy. Use it to organize assets — vehicles, ECUs, features, components — with structured properties, relationships, and AI-curated context.
Risk Manager
Risk Manager is where security risks are registered, scored, and closed. Every risk links back to one or more assets from Asset Manager, and is scored from evidence contributed by VSEC’s other tools — threat modeling (Design), security testing (Test), and vulnerability monitoring (Monitor) — with Beacon watching across all of them for cross-cutting gaps.
